MC Mong es uno de los artistas hip pop de mayor popularidad en toda Corea. Debutó en 1999 como miembro del grupo ‘People Crew’, pero comenzó a cosechar fama tras su participación en una serie cómica televisiva ‘Non-Stop 4’. En 2004, se lanzó como solista y se destacó por su estilo de música divertida y alegre así como su estilo cómico.
